10 December 2013
SEOUL, South Korea
2013 Terra Madre Day in Slow Food Seoul will host an event called "KIMCHI DIVERSITY: KIMCHI SWAP"
Lots of young people in Korea are forgetting how to make Kimchi in this fast life; their taste buds adjusting to industrial Kimchi.
But Everybody loves Kimchi and that's why we should remember seasonal Kimchi varieties, try to make it and share it.
How many kinds of Kimchi do you eat? Even the Kimchi from your neighborhood has unique flavor. Let's enjoy the diversity of Kimchi!
1. The Kimchi making season is coming! Record your own recipe (ingredients, the way of making) when you make Kimchi.
2. Bottle your Kimchi
3. On Terra Madre Day, tell us about the characteristics of your Kimchi and exchange with others
4. Kimchi Party Time!! Let's share some Makggeolli (rice wine), steamed Korean black pork, and Kimchi from home.
We'll network with people by sharing food and chat to start a Convivium in Seoul. Taste the Kimchi diversity, learn it and share it!!
