Terra Madre Day - Celebrate eating locally

Testing the cultural attachment to our childhood recipes

Convivium: Slow Food Cluj Transilvania

10 December 2013

To remember simple and healthy old recipes, and to test the cultural attachment to childhood recipes, Slow Food Cluj Transilvania will celebrate Terra Madre Day 2013 by baking “biscui?i ?pri?a?i”. It will also carry out a survey on Food Choice - about the cultural attachment to the food we eat in order to reconnect the community with childhood sweets. In addition to traditional biscuits we will also prepare red and blue-colored ones to see how people select the food they eat. We will observe how taste preferences, sensory attributes, social influences, age differences and gender differences guide food choice, and how our relationships with food and each other changes. Conclusions will be found in a brochure in electronic format which will include recipes and photos. The target audience will be represented by 10 guests from La Papion cultural café Turda and 90 students from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, future engineers. - Recycled art at Cafe
