Eat local, improve nutrition

DAR ES SALAAM REGION, Tanzania
1: Five communities which are involved in 1,000 gardens in Africa will prepare local foods mainly from their gardens, bring them to the table and eat together. Participants 100.
2: Three primary schools involved in 1,000 garden project will harvest produce from their gardens to discuss food values, cook and eat with their teachers. ‘A’,Bongoyo,and Mbuyuni Primary schools. Participants 1000.
3: Organize Famers Market. Display local and indigenous foods and vegetables,Fresh and cooked for testing and buying. in line with the theme “Ark of Taste”. Materials will be distributed to disseminate information to other people about TMD and advocate consumption of indigenous vegetables to improve food security and nutrition. Participants 150.
4: Parliament Committee of Nutrition have shown interest to visit RESEWO indigenous vegetable demonstration garden,they will taste the meal at round table. Paticipants 50.
